RASTA-Bacteria

Rapid Automated Scan for Toxins and Antitoxins in Bacteria

General Information

Rasta-Bacteria is the first tool for exhaustive toxin and antitoxin genes prediction in prokaryotic genomes. It is based on a search method relying on the size of the genes, their genomic organization, and the availability of conserved functional domains derived from confirmed products.
Current version of the software is 2.12.
TA Conserved Domain Database used is version 1.5.

Input Data

Paste nucleic sequence (raw FASTA format) shorter than 10 kb:

OR

Select an organism (all replicons will be scanned)

OR

Upload file (Genbank or FASTA format):

Important note

For files below 500 kB and raw nucleic sequences, the result table will be displayed in browser (200 rows max.).
For fully annotated organisms and files over 500 kB, user will be notified by e-mail when job is done, and must hence
provide a valid e-mail address:

In both cases a link for download of the tar archive with the result table and supporting files will be provided.

Disclaimer: as of October 2010, and until at least end of 2011, insufficient credits/mantime have been allocated to RASTA-Bacteria, which is not maintained anymore. If you have any questions, you can try writing to Emeric Sevin but with no guarantee that you'll get an answer soon. We apologize for this situation, and thank you for your understanding.

Optional Parameters

Which length scoring model do you wish to use? General Archea Gram - Gram +

Accepted overlap percentage for ORF prediction (default is 15%)

Advanced Parameters

Bit-score threshold for RPS-BLAST sensitivity: (default is 27)

Minimum length (in aa) for predicted ORFs: (default is 30 aa)
